Leading Expand The Box & Possibility Labs


Prologue

This information is written for Possibility Trainers, and also for people investigating the NCRTC and the Trainer Guild to test how it could help facilitate their personal near-future unfoldment.

The writing that follows is dense. It is full of strong distinctions and new vocabulary. I encourage you to consider reading it through a few times. I think during each reading more of the context out of which Possibility Trainers do their work will land in your four bodies. The bigger picture of the Possibility Trainer gameworld can become more present for you. This in itself is valuable (my opinion).

While reading, please check to see if there are several inner parts of you reading this at the same time. For example, one part may deliver a running commentary that goes something like: “Are these people nuts? This is too much! I haven’t done that, or that… or that! What are they are talking about? I don’t even know what this one means. They’re crazy. How could anyone actually do this? I will never make it! Forget it… Either I am not good enough, or they are idiots. And I’m sure I’m good enough.

At the same time notice if there isn’t another part of you coming to life and saying something like: “Finally somebody speaks the forbidden language again! Somebody is laying it on the line, opening the locked doors, inviting me to reveal my hidden talents. Finally the bar is high enough to be interesting! The space is sturdy and wide enough to ignite my full inner vision. The path is sufficiently steep to challenge my maximum power. Pitfalls are indicated with precision enough that I have a working map to use. I can find myself on this map. I can see where I am, and from here I can experiment to cross ordinary borders and enter new territory.

Please don’t only listen to the part that complains the loudest. Give the other part some space to breathe. It’s okay now. The world needs Trainers. Why are you attracted? Are any of your friends Trainers?

Desciption of a Possibility Trainer

As has often been distinguished throughout this website and other Possibility Management writings, there is a considerable difference between Educators and Trainers. Both are needed, of course. However, each involves a different skillset to accomplish the related services they provide. In particular:

An Educator imparts knowledge.

A Trainer expands the capacity for being.

It has been often noted that the two terms Educator and Trainer originally had the other’s meaning. For example the word educate stems from the word educe, which means to draw out, a skill which Socrates famously demonstrated. He saw true education as drawing something out of, rather than forcing something into the mind. Simply by asking his students appropriate questions they would encounter new realizations. This skill is no longer valued in Educators.

Originally a trainer provided repetitious experiences backed by rewards and punishments to force animals or sportsmen (and sportswomen) to conform to a desired performance. When school curricula were standardized to fit military-industrial-complex needs, children became the animals and educators became their trainers.

After 150 years of modern “education,” rather than attempting to re-educate educators to educe, Possibility Management has adopted the term trainer to mean a spaceholder who navigates individuals and groups through liquid states into expanded capacities in all four bodies.

Although the career path of serving as a Trainer was brought back to life as a valuable profession in the 1960s, the TRANsformational-spacenavigatOR definition of the word trainer (TRANOR) is not listed in my year 2000 Random House Webster’s Dictionary. More shockingly, neither is it listed in today’s global online Wikipedia.

This means that Possibility Trainers do their work in a sparsely understood gameworld. Almost nobody knows what you are doing, or how you do it, including people calling themselves trainers who are actually educators or facilitators. It may be the case that for quite awhile your efforts, though magnificently effective, may go publicly unrecognized.

I think Possibility Trainers are needed now more than ever before in history to navigate culture-shift from patriarchy to archearchy. To develop our skills, to work in the understanding friendship of colleagues, and to support each other’s continual development as a Possibility Trainer, the Trainer Guild was created.


If you are developing in the direction of serving as a Possibility Trainer, then…

  • You have your possibility stone in your pocket right now.
  • You ongoingly hold a gap between your being and your Box. You have a Box. You are not your Box. You have disidentified from your Box with all its stories, interpretations, opinions, and conclusions. Your Box does its thing and you remain unhookable.
  • You have read Radiant Joy Brilliant Love and Directing the Power of Conscious Feelings, and a few other books from the Possibility Manager Handbook reading list, including Daemon and Freedom by Daniel Suarez, and the Martín Prechtel books, Secrets of the Talking Jaguar, and Long Life Honey In The Heart.
  • You read most of the SPARKs and actually do some of the experiments. You consider yourself to be an edgeworker, regularly doing edgework experiments to build your energetic matrix. You are starting to orient your life around doing matrix-building practices and letting the rest of your life fall where it may. You know the sensation of being alive in every breath.
  • You have graduated from merely surviving (working for money) to truly living (working for the work itself – doing what you do even if you were not paid).
  • Your Low Drama Detector notifies you of any low dramas approaching at one-hundred meters distance. Your daily life, including personal and professional relationships, is recontexted out of low drama and into high drama.
  • You ongoingly and consciously use the thirteen Possibility Manager tools: clicker, sword of clarity, bag of things, wand of declaration, voice blaster, disk of nothing, is-glue, is-glue dissolver, paint brush, center, grounding cord, bubble, and Bright Principle workspace.
  • You have distilled your destiny (Bright Principles). In practical terms you see that fulfilling your destiny in some way involves serving as a bridge over which people can cross to next culture. You have shifted identity from being your Box to being your Bright Principles in action.
  • You have distilled your hidden purpose (Shadow Principles). You have battled the deepest underworld’s demons, freed the treasure, and restored the lost goddess jewel of adventure into its rightful heart seat. You can say your hidden purpose out loud right now.
  • You have minimized your now. Now and then you can slip sideways through the gaps between moments.
  • You can stay centered, even with your mother.
  • You have rewired the meaning of fear in your mind so that fear is fear.
  • You can enter pure anger, pure sadness, pure fear, and pure joy (even if for only three seconds), and your detector is calibrated to tell you what percentage big you are feeling these feelings, and what percentage big another person is feeling their feelings.
  • Not only have you unmixed your own feelings, but you can help other people unmix theirs.
  • You have gotten your balls back from your mother (man) and your center back from your father (woman).
  • You have opened your Pearl and found your original instructions.
  • You have reconnected with your Archetypal Lineage.
  • You have discovered your hidden competing commitments.
  • You’ve learned your Gremlin’s name and keep him on a short chain. You feed him on a conscious feeding schedule the foods of your choice. You regularly give your Gremlin interesting jobs to do that may freak out your Box but help you to deliver your destiny. You have established your family and home as a Gremlin-free zone.
  • You ongoingly distinguish the two kinds of emotions, emotions from feelings, and thoughts from feelings. You have gone through seven to ten deep emotional healing processes about your childhood, your parents, and past life decisions. You have made new decisions.
  • You are expert at completion loops and at Possibility Listening.
  • You have stellated your four archetypes. You actually put them to use for high drama.
  • You can say, “No!”
  • You can say, “Stop!”
  • You can say, “Yes!” and mean it.
  • You can make boundaries.
  • You can land distinctions in a space.
  • You are familiar with interacting with others as the space through which your Bright Principles can do their work in the world.
  • You are healing yourself from Technopenuriaphobia (TPP – the fear of losing technology). Healing TPP takes some years of learning new skills. Hint: begin by learning to start a campfire five different ways without using matches or a lighter.
  • You write a public blog every now and then to let yourself be known.
  • You have done firewalking, vision quest, seen Gustav Hossenfelder, had a family placement for your father’s side and your mother’s side, and done several other things listed in your Possibility Manager Handbook homework list. You have actually read the Handbook!
  • You’ve been a Job Manager and Kitchen Manager and Purchaser and Space Manager during your Possibility Labs.
  • You lead Study Group, Possibility Team, Rage Club, and / or Adventure Feelings. Now and then you give a public talk or a workshop.
  • You’ve made a third-world journey for several months and notice that your orientation has shifted to global citizen instead of regarding yourself as a citizen of your country of birth.
  • You have found something specific and touching to truly admire and respect about each of your parents, siblings, and relatives.
  • You have done some liver cleanses.
  • You have gotten completely out of debt (you don’t pay interest to a bank).
  • You have shifted out of the Freudian / Jungian linear psycho-analytical-therapist context into the context of being a nonlinear possibility maker who is directly connected to the Bright Principle of possibility. You can prove that something completely different from this is possible right now. And now. And now.
  • You have realized the meaning and consequences of the following terms: depleted Uranium weapons, overpopulation, ocean acidification, melting Siberian tundra clathrates, methane chimney, global warming, sinking water tables, peak oil (peak everything), 350ppm CO2, assassin drone, genetically modified organism, and corporate personhood.
  • You have an ongoing practice of splitting your attention and observing yourself with objective neutrality, especially when you are laughing, when you are in the presence of a holy shrine, when your buttons are being pushed, when you think nothing is happening, and when you think nobody is watching you.
  • You have recontexted your personal culture from capitalist patriarchal empire to archearchy, and you can prove it.
  • You can split your attention, place your attention on your attention, and enter the waking state.
  • You have experienced countenance.
  • You know what a black widow is, what a white widow is, and you notice who sits across from you in training circles and why. You are not seducible by sexual energy attacks.
  • You can distinguish bullshit from cowshit in real-time. Meaning, you can navigate your personal relationship to extraordinary and archetypal spaces of love-happening even when the faucet is leaking. You are a Kingmaker (Queenmaker). You know the Nine Cow story. You can be killed and not die.
  • You can choose for no reason.
  • You have chosen a path of personal development that includes shadow world work and bright world work, radical responsibility, and ongoing initiations into adulthood.

You might at this point be asking yourself if you have indeed done enough of these things to be considered a Possibility Trainer. There may be a part in you wondering if you have done better than someone else, or worse. Both stories are wrong.

As Captain Jack Sparrow says, “The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can’t do.” (This of course especially also applies to women... I’m sure…)

In any case, nobody can do any of these things for you.

More interestingly, nobody can stop you from doing them.

What I ask is, what could you do right now? What could you arrange to do this afternoon? And tonight?

Description of an Expand the Box (ETB) Trainer

1. A first-time ETB Trainer will have completed at least three ETBs, preferably delivered by several different Trainers, before leading their first ETB.

Why? In your second ETB you start understanding what actually happened during your first ETB. In your third ETB you start noticing how the Trainer did it in your second ETB. No one can lead ETB in exactly the same style of another Trainer. Not supposed to. However, the contents of ETB are so clearly prescribed and so abundant that there isn’t much room for anything else in the three days. An ETB cannot be delivered in less than three long days (33 training hours), however it can be delivered, for example, during weekly two-hour meetings over a period of five months (40 hours). ETBs can also be delivered as a team.

2. We suggest that you arrange to deliver your first ETB as a free session for friends who give you ongoing feedback about what is working and what is not, and coaching about what behavior you could shift to create better results. Then your next ETB would be delivered at the full price for ETB trainings.

Why? Our wish at NCRTC is to standardize the delivery of ETB as 3 full days, € 597,- including MwSt, plus room and food. It turns out never to be the case that the cost of the tuition is what stops a person from attending ETB. It is the meaning they give to their experience of fear about attending ETB that stops them. They believe their own story even thought they just made it up. People have a choice about what meaning they attach to their fear but that choice does not often become conscious until after they participate in ETB! This may not be clear for potential participants but it can certainly be clear for you. If a person truly wants to attend and they do not have this much cash, invite them to commit by registering for the ETB. Often by this commitment alone enough money arrives to cover the tuition, travel, room and food costs. You can also propose that a person makes monthly payments to you before attending and as soon as they have achieved the full tuition they can attend. It is also possible to offer a reduced tuition for full-time students 15 to 23 years old (50%), or for a spouse attending the same ETB as their partner (20%), or for 3 or more people coming from the same organization (20% each). The value of the ETB experience is so immense that we often hear comments such as, “Why do you charge so little?”

3. An ETB Trainer has developed the skills to greet a room full of exhausted, uninitiated, Box-identified, feeling-mixing participants raised to be un-aware of Gremlin in a capitalist, patriarchal empire, and to weave them into a winning-happening team in the first session of a training, establishing the training context as a space of clarity, possibility and High Level Fun!.

Why? Because ETB is not school. A Trainer has no formal or legal authority imposed by a hierarchical power structure. Your power comes from your clarity. If you do not have the biggest (most conscious) Gremlin in the space you won’t be able to provide clarity, possibility and High Level Fun for the participants. Instead you will get eaten alive by any person/Box/Gremlin that you cannot confront and make distinctions for. They will take over the training space to keep their Box from expanding. So practice.

Description of a Possibility Lab (PLab) Trainer

1. A PLab Trainer should have terminated their involvement with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, computer sex, gambling (as in stock markets), and other hard drugs.

Why? Putting a sip of alcohol into your body calls out to a demon that is, as far as I can tell, stronger than the tools, distinctions and processes derived from the context of Possibility Management. Calling the alcohol demon is your choice. This particular demon makes your Gremlin (even in his wildest times) seem like a cute little pussycat in comparison. I am not trying to be funny here. When the alcohol demon has your number, in a short while it starts calling you. As an ETB or PLab (or TLab) Trainer there will be more power flowing through you, and, at the same time, bigger liquid states to face. Continuing along your path of evolution regularly brings deep, unpredictable, emotional healing processes, with bigger feelings the likes of which you may never have imagined. As these processes approach you, subtle Box and Gremlin defenses naturally arise to try to avoid the processes. They want to stay in control so as to keep you “safe,” meaning to prevent anything from changing in the way your Box knows how to survive. You may believe that your fears of transformation are real feelings and not incomplete emotions from past lives or from somebody else. You may find yourself believing your own stories, justifications, explanations and reasons that you tell others because you can actually feel the fear – this proves that the stories must be real. You can feel it! (But we feel emotions the same as feelings. It’s just that emotions last longer… until they are used in appropriate healing processes.) Alcohol may seem to accidentally appear in your home at first, a small glass of wine at dinner, a schnapps to sleep better, an alcohol-free (most of the time…) beer can seem like an effective way to suppress this growing intensity in your life. The intensity is new power that your Box doesn’t know how to manage. Actually you do not need to manage the new power. It has not come by accident. You need the new power for creating the new projects that land on your bench when your matrix grows. But each time you call the demon instead of breathing and enjoying the new bigness and intensity of life-power, you grease the hinges of the demon’s doorway until it opens by itself and he slips into your life as if it is his. Your personal development makes you more attractive to bigger vampire entities. It makes sense, doesn’t it? Big fish are eaten by even bigger fish.


When you gain more power to navigate spaces, to go nonlinear, and to be unhookable, the vampires perceive your new juiciness and start salivating just to get a little bite into your neck. Every tool and distinction that lands in your energetic body and builds matrix for your Queen, Warrioress, Sorceress and Communicator (King, Warrior, Magician, and Communicator) also empowers the freedom of choice of your Gremlin. Soon your Box is untouchable, and your Gremlin knows it and wants to dance freely with all the demons. A little before then would be a good time to make an irrevocable and drastic life decision: to use your Gremlin to catch your Gremlin in his own tricks. Dedicate your Gremlin to taking your Gremlin apart so that Gremlin serves your Bright Principles, your Pearl, and your Archetypal Lineage rather than itself. If the alcohol demon is in the works, you won’t have much chance to rededicate your Gremlin. He will be too busy celebrating in the shadow of his new master. Tobacco is similar. If you smoke, the nicotine will call you outside on its own timing. This means that if you are leading a delicate and precise process and have to go fifteen minutes past break time to perform an excellent surgery as Trainer, the nicotine will take more and more of your attention away from the job until you choose the cigarette over the person on the mattress, and then your career is lost. Read the chapter in Radiant Joy Brilliant Love on sexual energy and you will understand why computer sex is on the list above. Being a Trainer means paying in ways that other people can’t imagine would make the least bit of sense. Paying full price is one of the sacrifices of being a Possibility Trainer. You get to be the janitor, the sweeper (as in the book Thief of Time by Terry Pratchett – it’s on the reading list…). Secret lives are only secret to those maintaining the illusion that what they do is not visible to everyone around them. The highlights of a Trainer’s life are disillusionment and nothingness… which become astonishing and glorious when you learn how to properly use them… which is what TLabs are for.

2. A first-time PLab Trainer should have delivered at least five ETBs and ongoingly lead at least two or three ETBs a year. They should have their own website online, should write a regular blog to leave a trail of their own evolution, should send out regular bi-weekly newsletters with distinctions and experiments to feed their growing database of at least three-hundred contacts, should be at least outlining a book about some aspect of Possibility Management which should envisioned to be finished and published in the foreseeable future, and should give public talks, radio interviews, and workshops to continue to grow their database.

Why? Every time you deliver ETB you sense more respect for the radically responsible context of Possibility Management, its depth and breadth, its elegance and sophistication, its exquisite precision, and its practical transformational utility in daily life, relationship and business. Every time you write a blog or give a public talk or workshop you place yourself at source for deepening the body of the work, for further unfolding the context of Possibility Management. By being at source and landing communications for others you reflexively develop your skills at having one foot in each world, one foot in modern culture and one foot on the bridge to next culture.

Having one foot in each world is painful because it gives you two conflicting views. One view is inwards, revealing that modern culture – the culture you were born and raised in – is merely a story… a story which happens to be suiciding the future of humanity on planet Earth. The other view is outwards, revealing hundreds of thousands of people creating other stories to live in, some of which lead to a sustainable next culture. Modern culture is unsustainable, a false paradigm, yet next culture is to a large degree still unknown – although it works, it does not yet have majority vote.

Delivering your destiny as a PLab Trainer depends on your ability to embrace the pain of the two views while being authentic about your inauthenticity. Talks and workshops feed your circle of people and let new people find you so they can also tap into this rare and delicious source of four-body food you are providing when you are the space through which your Bright Principles do their work in the world. The people in your circle dance together with your core team to become a living organism, a complex system like a galaxy, thriving in the gameworld of Possibility Management. Stars need planets or they are just lone wolves. Planets need stars or they are just interplanetary debris. Together stars and planets synergize to become something greater than the sum of their parts.

3. A PLab Trainer should have completed a minimum of eight to ten PLabs and continues to participate in at least one PLab per year given by another Possibility Trainer. In those PLabs you participate in or help coach the big group processes and you also sit in the Possibility Chair and earnestly engage your personal development processes in public.

Why? Would you want someone leading you through processes they hadn’t done themselves? A PLab Trainer should personally participate in any big process before leading it for others. The big processes are not delivered in Trainer Labs, only in Possibility Labs, so parallel to TLabs a Trainer is also required to participate in PLabs in a ratio of about two PLabs for every one TLab. It could be interesting for the Trainer Guild to self-organize once or twice a year a Trainer Guild Practice Lab where each Trainer who has been in a big process delivers it to those who have not, all the while giving each other constant feedback and coaching to improve delivery. Throw in a Trainerlaube here and there... couple of action films… Sounds like High Level Fun to me! Harbigaar! (By the way, Harbigaar is Pirate Language. It means, “Ahoy there Mate! I be a radically-responsible Possibility Pirate in all four bodies from next culture! I navigate spaces through the rough seas of nonlinear possibility with my Gremlin and my sword of clarity, and I feel mad, sad, glad and scared about it!” See… it’s quicker to say, “Harbigaar!”)


4. A PLab Trainer can shift a room full of ETB graduates from the culture of their daily lives to the radically-responsible, initiatory space of archearchy within the first session, and can hold and navigate that space for four days and nights (meaning essentially forever) with the sword of clarity (radical meaninglessness) and the wand of declaration (nonlinear humor).

Why? Having to shift the space yourself is certainly not fair, but who else will do it? In the end, there is only you. This is radical responsibility, remember? Sure everyone has been to ETB, but how much of ETB can they actually implement moment to moment? It takes time with lots of feedback and coaching in PLabs to implement what we learn in ETB. This means that the PLab gameworld can’t happen unless you hold and navigate the PLab space. You need to know where the context is and how your training space is doing even on breaks, even when you yourself are in the liquid state, even during night school, even when you don’t know how. One little glitch from being centered, one little reaction from your hungry Gremlin growling on the leash held a bit too loose and the space will instantly degrade from extraordinary to ordinary. It may be quite difficult to get it back off the ground and into the air again. Although the sword of clarity and the wand of nonlinear declaration will be your main tools in ETB, in PLabs you will also need your club of brute force and massive ignorance. You need it instantly and always available in order to shout through the walls of a person’s Box and be dangerous enough to make an uncompromiseable boundary that keeps the training space safe for everyone. When you first see a Trainer use the club it scares the shit out of you. When you first do it yourself you may think you have gone insane. Be that as it may, it all comes down to the fact that you are the Trainer. You are the one who knows the thoughtmaps of the next culture thoughtware. You are the guide navigating spaces, sensing the traps and the landslide zones. If your Box, your past, your childhood neediness, your Gremlin’s addictions, your unhealed wounds, your stories, your expectations, your assumptions, your blind prejudice, your conclusions or your beliefs consume energy in the space instead of you being the stellated energy source for everyone else, the training is lost and authentic initiatory processes will not occur. Nobody did it for you, and here you are, having to do it for everybody else! Feel like a victim? If you do, then the extraordinary training spaces are over, and forget about ever bringing people into archetypal spaces. Every single action mentioned here is a skill. Find ways to consistently and intensely practice your skills. What better way is there for honoring the opportunity of having been given a life, eh?

5. Before delivering your first PLab a Trainer should have participated in a minimum of two Trainer Labs, and should continue to join at least one TLab per year.

Why? TLab is a meta-training where you further develop your Trainer skills and also learn to Train Trainers. This is where you learn to source a sustainable culture based in initiatory process. Regularly coming to TLabs over the long term (I mean over decades) does two things. It gives you a chance to stay abreast of what has been developed, discovered and refined by the other Trainers, and it gives you a chance to get responsible with what you have discovered and show it to the other Trainers. The liquid states from TLabs tend to last for several months because TLab distinctions reach more to the core of who we are. And TLab spaceholder skills so radically amplify perceptions and powers of implementation that it can take awhile for the suddenly unfolded new world to become your new normal. When the Box expands so much it sometimes requires concentrated exploration efforts to find the new edges. These are fun times. You may often feel like you are in freefall in a bottomless pit, but freefall is fun, isn’t it? Human beings are designed to fly.


These ETB and PLab Trainer conditions are not about being perfect or being fanatical. At the same time, they apply like laws of the universe, like gravity. In other words, trying to ignore them has consequences. I think you know what I mean?

The list above is by far not everything, but it is enough to get us started into a new chapter in the Trainer Guild. There is a general context shift required for Possibility Trainer. From my heart and soul I thank you for going on this journey with us.
